The combat/shooting is much improved. Tons of locations to explore. I actually really enjoyed building my bases. I understand one of the major complaints was the lack of branching dialogue. As someone that usually only plays a game through once I didn't have a problem with it at all. All in all a great game and i highly recommend playing it. I had to write a review after seeing all these whiny ass pissbabies complaining about graphics and other trivial.

So now it's going to sit on a shelf for a year until they put out some DLC. With Fallout, I've been playing every day since it came out for 2-6 hours a day, and I've barely scratched the surface. I've only done 5 main missions. And I don't even care. There's so much to do and explore, I have to FORCE myself to stop playing every night and go to bed. The graphics are NOT ground breaking.

That's not the point. In all honesty, the character models aren't that great. They're an improvement over NV, but not next gen. The environmental graphic ARE great though, especially with the real time shaders, they make new vegas look like a joke. As far as the speech mechanics - Yes, there's only 4 choices now. I can see 2 reasons for this: A.

Full voice acting means they couldn't possibly voice all 100k choices in a game like this, or B. It's streamlined, and you actually have longer conversations now that will make you choose between the 4, 3-4 times per conversation. That's around 16-20 choices per conversation. It doesn't feel wrong to me. Also being able to mumble 'shut up' while skipping dialog is fantastic for those of us who would rather be exploring. Now, bugs - I've played for just over 50 hours now and I've encountered 3-4 bothersome bugs (trying to skip speech causes dead air sometimes, going too fast through the intro causes nothing to happen at a certain point, in general being impatient is bad), but nothing permanent.

I love all these people saying it's unplayable because of bugs. They want it to fail. But the reality is, they're few and far between but they WILL be there, there will always be bugs in every game ever. Bethesda is good about getting out bug fixes.

Also - graphical glitches are NOT game breaking bugs, get the f. over yourself. There are framerate drops less than 1% of the time, and it's usually when loading a new area with a ton of clutter, or for a split second while in scope. Again, get over it.

It's barely there. Skills have been taken out of the game, and good riddance.

They felt annoying or useless. 100 in energy weapons felt the same as 50.

They were more of a level hindrance than anything. I can't see myself playing anything else for a long time. Bought the game a five hours ago and I'm going to give a 100% honest review about it.

Fallout 4 is a massive game. In the strategy guide Bought the game a five hours ago and I'm going to give a 100% honest review about it.

Fallout 4 is a massive game. In the strategy guide there's roughly 150 quests and I estimate the map is about as big as skyrim's, but there seems to be a higher density of areas to explore with fewer mountains and whatnot in the way to make the map feel bigger than it actually is. In comparison to previous Fallouts people keep saying it isn't a big step up. I disagree with them, but I will admit the facial expression are a bit stiff and lip syncing is a tiny bit off. Some people dislike the aesthetics of the game because they went with a much more punchy and bright color pallet rather than just make everything poop brown and puke green like Fallout 3. I actually enjoyed the more colorful environments.

Looking at the pc specs this game is technically graphically superior to any other game out right now even if some people are saying the graphics are not very good. I honestly thought the graphics looked amazing, but I'm just putting it out there that not everybody shares my opinion and some people think games like Witcher 3 actually have better graphics. Personally, I don't think it should matter all that much because it's really about gameplay, not graphics.

Gameplay wise what Fallout 4 brings to the table over previous games is a vastly improved combat system, much better balance regarding things like stimpacks and perks, and overall more challenge on higher difficulties. Gun play feels almost exactly like Call of Duty instead of very stiff and clunky like New Vegas. You definitely will feel noticeable improvements on how guns and things handle regarding sight clarity, draw animations, sway, recoil, and smoothness adjusting aim. Movement also feels more in line with Call of Duty. Sprint is in the game and is balanced by taking away action points to use in vats, a great mechanic imo that adds more fluidity and better pacing to everything.

In other words you no longer have to worry about slowly plodding from one area to the next making for less overall downtime to deal with. What this game offers over Destiny, which probably it's main competition atm is a much more engaging story and much much more content than Destiny could ever hope to deliver.

I mean in comparison I finished Destiny including all story missions, all strikes, and the two raids in about 20 hours. The story missions in the vanilla game itself you could easily get through in about 5 hours. Even if all 150 quests take a half hour each you are still talking about 75 hours of content to go through so even the most viscous haters on here would have to admit at minimum this game at least offers a lot in quantity of content even if one could make an argument about the quality of it. Sound wise Fallout 4 offers MUCH more voice actors than previous games leading to much more variations in how npcs interact. Games like Elder Scrolls online will recycle the same voice actors. It's not like that in this game.

I also enjoyed how gun sounds have much more 'oomph' than Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Everything sounded like it really had impact and the blood splatter in response seemed really satisfying. Unfortunately, didn't like the music track in the game so far, but oh well. People on here are complaining about very specific nitpicky issues with the game like for instance the facial expression/lip syncing issue, a few specific non game breaking bugs, color aestetics, and blah, blah, blah. All I got to say is please examine the facts for yourself. I encourage anybody reading this to just look at the amount of content and all the customization and what you are getting here and then decide based on that rather than some extremely specific little thing somebody is complaining about. I assure you this game has a lot of bang to offer for your 60 bucks and well deserves 10/10 in my very honest opinion.

I was disappointed at the glitchyness of the game, but I expected it to be. This is Bethesda we're talking about.

The crafting is annoying and I was disappointed at the glitchyness of the game, but I expected it to be. This is Bethesda we're talking about. The crafting is annoying and it doesn't 'just work' but it can be fun. I love the story and the voiced protagonist. Companions seamlessly participate in conversations with you and other NPCs at the same time. The VATS and FPS works way better than FO3 and New Vegas.

Overall, I was expecting to give this game a 9 or 10, but it's only a 7. I look forward to playing it for hundreds of hours. I made this account after extensively playing Fallout4 on PS4.

To be poignant 13d20hr18m into my latest Survival No kills saveIt's I made this account after extensively playing Fallout4 on PS4. To be poignant 13d20hr18m into my latest Survival No kills save It's absolute garbage; Bethesda should be ashamed. As a kid I used to play Morrowind on the PC, Watching your modding community flourish around the Construction Set was beautiful. The game itself didn't need character narration; the game was smooth, the characters were well thought out (Vivec, Dagoth Ur still bring a smile to my minds eye), There was a massive depth to your plot back then it seemed. I could depend on dropping into this RPG for hours at a time; if even just to play around with different cheats or spells for sillies. ( or even better mods from the community) With Fallout 4.

On Survival. I hope you realize your engine's bugs crash the game every 30m - 2 hrs consistently right? Yet the game of the year edition came out and i see no updates fixing these issues. Seemingly you want everyone seeing a loading screen (laments; fast traveling in lower difficulty with a smaller loot tree) every 30 min or the game will crash due to zone renderings, or any # of other immersion breaking issues. ( i have had cars thrown into me by companions instantly killing me, even discovered running into said cars sitting still can be fatal.) I am sure every player has noticed falling cars from highways and other needless animations that bug up the engine, when all we did was max-craft our character to run fast through the zones (because minutemen) and here we are, un-immersed, probably broke due to the expansions/skins, and nothing to really show for it except our Bethesda Fandom.

& all the aforementioned hours spent in a broken game you refuse to spend any time(or $) fixing. Despite how much money we have literally just thrown at you.

I can't even fathom how much you probably make off these ripoff's you call creations in your club but it is downright despicable how you went from a Construction Set to a Creation Club. & you think your better than EA. Watching the hype following your latest presentation at E3 I am feeling all sorts of deja vu when compared to f4's hype.

I am not enthused, I am not excited. I am mildly disgusted and sad to see a great company brought so low by it's shareholder greed.

Until you start acting more like Cd Projekt Red (you know a responsible game developer that keeps it's audience in mind, doesn't give in to corporate greed, and seemingly loves doing what it set out to do in the first place; creating) I won't be buying your games. You gave up on me. & we are legion. Todd Howard, you are Caesar. The knives in your back? You put them there yourself.
