John, I bet if you return to the service bay of your dealer, they would add some FL22 for you (if they stock it, as it’s only used in the 124 Spider, which might explain why they skipped). It comes in either premix or concentrate. Distilled water (to insure proper pH) only gets added if coolant concentrate is used! The usual% of added water would be 45%, but in the really cold states, 40% is ideal.If you visit a Mazda dealer, ask how much for a jug.

So, I’ve recently come across a that has altered a few of the fluid callouts for the 124 Spider, and in some cases disagreeing with workshop manuals and the labels adhered to the vehicle. I think the callouts are vague intentionally, to encourage vehicle owners to have their vehicles serviced at the dealerships.♦ For instance, they changed the Air Conditioning refrigerant to HFO-123yf, which I think is a typo, because i think they really mean HFO-1234yf, and it is claimed to be a compatible alternative that is a little bit more environmentally friendly than HFC-134a. I’m going to add as a note to my callout on this one.♦ Next is Automatic Transmission Fluid. The callout has been JWS3309, but now seems to be JWS3324?

If you look up the part #, JWS3309 is still specifically specified however, so this may be another error.♦ The callout for manual transmission fluid is still vague, but I’m leaving the GL4 requirement in my Specs, so that nobody installs a GL-5, or a GL-4/GL-5 combo fluid unknowingly, as that is not a recommended alternative.♦ The recommended differential gear oil should be 75W-90 SG1, rather than 75W-90 GL-5 that my previous research had revealed. I have a feeling that these two callouts are very similar, and I am leaving my GL5 API rating in place. SG has no published “spec” behind it to identify non-Mazda/non-Fiat products against. And my additive requirement spec for those with LSD, is still spot on.♦ Mopar finally corrected the callout on the engine coolant to match my Spec, which called for a FL-22 equivalent, as I was already on top of that one.Like.

Sorry, but I don’t comprehend which coils you are recommending as upgrades to the Mopar coils??Bosch, Eldor or both? Has anyone verified that they are indeed better?And what are the Alt #s (Mopar, Fiat,)??I notice that Eurocompulsion doesn’t reveal any Bosch part #s for the Alfa coils they sell, and they state “A great replacement for the inferior factory BERU coil-packs”. Are the Mopar coils BERU? I thought I read somewhere that Mopar coils haven’t been BERU since the 124 has been in production, and that they are actually Bosch as well?I’ll gladly add the recommendation back to the Specs section once the confusion is cleared up as to whether the Alfa coils are actually better, and which ones specifically.Like.
