I always set cleaning (among other things) in the work tab to 1, and their main jobs to 2, secondary jobs to 3, and their 'nothing better to do jobs' to 4. Sure, everyone will be cleaning all the time, but it will cut the heft of the job down a lot. At most, people clean 4 or 5 spots for a second, then get to work.If I have enough pawns, I will set 2 or 3 specific people to only clean and haul.
These people have 'on and off' jobs, like hunting, handling, and maybe even mining. This way other pawns don't stop cooking to clean a pile of blood on the ground.Also, try putting down flooring (I use concrete) in between all your buildings. If they don't step on dirt, they cant track it in. I usually have 2-3 dedicated cleaners by the time my colony hits 12 people. And I split up the shifts so at least one is working at night when most of the colony sleeps. They seem to get a lot more done that way.Flooring helps a lot as well.
I'll eventually have stone tile throughout the inside of the colony with the exception of my beautification areas where I plant flowers. This helps keep colonists from picking up dirt and/or sand while walking around.Animals especially dirty ones like wild boar are eventually relegated to a barn that is built on the outside of the main area of the colony and are banned from entering the stone areas so that they can't contaminate everything. Only clean animals like dogs and rabbits can roam at will throughout the colony once I do that.

Gru decided enough was enough, he built a spacecraft and left Earth with his Minions on the morning he was supposed to be in court for the divorce proceedings.The spacecraft eventually came upon a habitable planet at the rim of the known universe – but disaster struck when the landing mechanism failed during landing. The spacecraft crash landed onto the new world – instantly killing Gru.
